Not on Friday
Though there was some hope for release on Friday 3/22, there’s still a ways to go before they let her out. She needs to be able to tolerate the increased feedings and tolerate drinking water to stay hydrated. (It’s been more than a week now with almost no water by mouth).
NG tube
The team started light feedings again through the J tube last night. After a day of walking and monitoring, the NG tube was removed. Though the NG tube had been helping earlier, it was a relief to have it taken out. Here’s some info on the NG tube.

Recovery apace
After the long restless night, Denise had a day recovering. As she gets ready for the night, Denise is still not entirely comfortable, she was without pain meds for several hours today. Morning one
Good morning! 3/15/20 God is good! The night was not very restful, as hospitals can be. The staff was very nice, though in addition to the taking of vitals Denise had some trouble sleeping well. (Apparently due to the breathing suppression side effects of the pain medicine). Nonetheless, the pain has been managable. …
