September things

September 2021 has brought some challenges to Denise.

Around September 4th she experienced blood loss that called for a hospitalization.

She returned home after a few days.

The cause was likely to be due to weakness around the scar areas around the gastrectomy.   Because blood flow is affected in those areas,  there can be a tendency to ulcerate, then bleed.

Blood is vital to life, and the bleeding was sapping energy from Denise.

Though the bleeding has responded to treatment and appears to have stopped (according to the “numbers”) it will likely be a while before Denise is feeling even as  strong as she was prior to the event.

There is still  some way to go.

–  Three months to the one-year mark on the gastrectomy

– a couple of months before full gall bladder recovery is complete

– timing to a better, normal diet… unkown

Someone mentioned that they would pray that God would show up for Denise.

Her response was that He has.

There are so many ways in which this could have been worse.   Myriad events where God has spared her life, given her grace to face this with peace and even joy.

God is at work in the frailty of life.
