A couple of weeks ago, (6/24) Denise had her original J Tube replaced with a new, smaller, more appropriate J tube. It is a low profile J tube, replacing the original Foley catheter.
The hope is that this new tube will be easier for her to bear and provide her with a better long term result. This new tube is a low profile J tube with components designed for comfort and safety for the user.
The procedure to remove the original tube and insert the new tube created pain and discomfort that will take some time to heal.
We are hopeful that this will be a good long term solution.
